Data centers are becoming one of the most important economic and energy topics in the Ohio Valley. Why are these facilities coming to our region? How much power do they require? What role could next-generation nuclear technology play in supporting their growth?
Join the Ohio Valley Energy Association as we welcome Dr. Sola Talabi, formerly a design engineer on the Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear reactor, for a timely discussion about the connection between artificial intelligence, data centers, and Small Modular Reactors.
Dr. Talabi will explain how Small Modular Reactors, commonly known as SMRs, are being considered as a reliable source of power for data centers supporting the exponential growth of AI in the United States. The discussion will also examine what these developments could mean for regional businesses, workforce needs, economic development, and the future of energy production.
